As one of the breakout stars of 2018, it was only fitting that Mlindo be included in the Idols SA finale line-up. But his performance left a lot to be desired and he has apologised.

Mlindo performed one of his hit songs from his debut album, Emakhaya that features Thabsie and Kwesta. The song, titled Macala, has been dubbed a December jam, but the performance on the Idols SA stage just didn't match up to the songs greatness.

"I’d love to send my apologies for my not perfect performance on Idols SA tonight. I had problems with my ear-piece because of not coming to the final sound check because of gig'ing. I’m really sorry to everyone," Mlindo said.

Thabsie and Kwesta held it down, but Mlindo's murmuring was too much for Twitter to ignore.

Mlindo's fans were so disappointed and some even said despite the love they have for the guy's music, they wouldn't pay to see him perform.

They shared their feels in memes.

His apology managed to get through to his fans, who appreciated the fact that he saw his mistakes and apologised.
