Khanyi Mbau has revealed more details about the launch of her very own brand of gin, telling TshisaLIVE that it's been a tough year for Mzansi and she wanted to bring joy.

"We have had such a rough year as a country. From death threats because of polony to the political situation, we have been drained. I decided to share myself with everyone and bring joy," she said.

She has called the gin the spirit of Khanyi Mbau in a bottle and told TshisaLIVE it contains the flavours of juniper berries, rose geranium, grapefruit and pepper.

The Queen of Bling said the gin is a pink shade and has an edible shimmer, which creates a "liquid dance."

And if you thought Khanyi simply added her name to the booze and wasn't involved in the process of choosing flavours, think again.

Khanyi said she's been through the entire process - from design to flavour concepts.

"Just taste it and I guarantee you'll want another."

It's expected to be in stores from December one and will retail at around R389 a pop.

The name? Well I am Khanyi, of course.
