Entertainer and vlogger Lasizwe has detailed his horrific ending to what was a beautiful night at the Global Citizen Festival on Sunday, after he was victim of stampede caused by chaos that was instigated by criminals.

In a video diary, Lasizwe explained that after enjoying performances by Ed Sheeran, Usher and Beyoncé and Jay-Z among others, he and his friends went through an ordeal while waiting for their ride outside FNB Stadium.

"(Outside the stadium) people were in a frenzy, we moved. We thought that the Sasol garage is a safe place, a safe spot and it was literally the opposite. Immediately when we get there, people's bags were getting snatched, people were losing their phones, some fighting."

Lasizwe said in their panic they began offering to pay double to Uber drivers, just so they could leave the place after losing each other as they ran away to avoid being victims of the stampede.

Lasizwe is just one of many fans who were left stranded and vulnerable as a crime spree erupted outside of the FNB stadium and surrounding areas right after the concert.
