Even though Menzi Ngubane and his new wife Sikelelwa Sishuba only tied the knot recently, they met over a decade ago and have been through a lot together.
Speaking to Drum, the veteran actor and his wife Siki, shared their happiness at finally having their traditional ceremony.
Menzi spoke his joy at finally getting his diamond.
"I got my diamond and no one will take her from me. I know the kind of woman I am marrying. I am very grateful to God. I remember when things were not going well for me, I prayed for unkosikazi ( a good wife). I didn't say I want umfazi but unkosikazi," Mensi told the publication.
Menzi, who suffered kidney failure and underwent a kidney transplant in 2014 and divorced his ex-wife of five years in 2013, has spoken out on numerous occasions about being grateful for a new lease on life.
In September, the Isibaya actor celebrated his birthday by spending the day with children at the Ethembeni Home in Doornfontein in Johannesburg.
Instead of splurging out on a fancy party, Menzi decided to donate groceries to the home and treat the kids to some sugary snacks.
Taking to Instagram at the time, Menzi described the day as "special and beautiful".
Even though Menzi has been referring to Siki as his wife for over two years, the pair said they were happy to have finally had the big celebrations with friends and family.
