As Babes Wodumo and Mampinthsa continue to dominate headlines after video footage which appears to show the musician assaulting his longtime girlfriend was posted on her Instagram Live video feed, Kelly Khumalo's name has been dragged into the matter.

On Monday night Kelly's name made it onto the Twitter trends list as people suggested that if she dates Mampintsha "he would be sorted".

It's not the first time Kelly has seen her name dragged into incidents of crime that are unrelated to her.  In reference to her boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa who was gunned down in front of her and another former bae Jub Jub, who was jailed, haters regularly mention Kelly's name when there are incidents of abuse or crime, insinuating she is responsible or has the power to change the situation.

For the most part, Kelly doesn't comment and keeps her head held high. But after hours of dominating the trends list, the musician responded with a simple and accurate clap back.

Although Babes Wodumo said she would be issuing a statement yesterday on the incident, she has remained silent on her social media accounts.

DJ Tira said she was "safe" and being looked after.
