In addition to his amazing presenting skills, fans have grown to love the unapologetically African Siyabonga Ngwekazi aka Scoop Makhathini and when he preached some truths about patriarchy, fans couldn't help but agree.

Scoop, who has been using his social media platforms to share insights on many Africa-related issues, believes that one of the biggest problems that stemmed from patriarchy was the fact that iconic women were disregarded.

He admitted to being guilty of this as well.

"A lot of African history talks about men... patriarchy is real, and I am guilty of it too. Nonetheless, here are some names you can type on the Google search bar and learn of how these women etched their names not just in African but world history," Scoop said.

The list included the likes of Queen Nandi and Queen Makeda.

Scoop also encouraged fans to always take pride in who and what they are.

"As above so below is an Egyptian saying. From the galactic universe to the earth, land mass, to our bodies as humans and animals. The universe mirrors itself and everything in it. So believe you are made from some divine material. Now act accordingly."
