As the scourge of women and child abuse in SA continues to be a topic of discussion, celebrities such as Cassper Nyovest have been challenged by the public to introspect for "abusive" traits, but the rapper has made his zero tolerance approach to abuse crystal clear.

The Tito Mboweni hitmaker made it clear that while he isn't perfect, he does not beat or promote beating women in his life or music.

"I'm not perfect but I can assure you that I don't beat women nor do I promote it! That’s just something I don’t do!"

This after Cassper was told not to behave as if he was perfect in the wake of assault allegations surrounding Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha.

Video footage of a man, alleged to be Mampintsha, slapping Babes several times went viral on Monday.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that Babes laid charges of assault against Mampintsha and he was released on R2,000 bail after appearing at the Pinetown Magistrate's Court.

Mampintsha also laid counter assault charges against Babes and has claimed she beat him up first.

Cassper used his Twitter page to ensure that followers knew he is against abuse of any kind and that men need to "unlearn" whatever teachings have made them think that there is ever any reason to assault women physically or otherwise.

"A lot of men have a problem with just digesting that there's no reason a woman should be beaten. All that 'but what if she did this to him' is dead ni**as.  You just don't raise your hand on a woman. It's just that simple! You can't beat women! Do not do it! No matter what!"
