Trevor Noah has given details about his meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this month.

Speaking on the between scenes segment of his hit US TV show The Daily Show, Trevor said that a friend called and said the president wanted to meet him.

"I was like, the president of what?"

Trevor said that the pres was "just very cool" and then invited him the Parliament at the last moment.

Trevor said he was walking next to Ramaphosa and asked him what he does on the "presidential power walk".

The comedian said Ramaphosa told him that he must "act like you are thinking of serious things".

Introducing him as a special guest in Parliament at the beginning of March, Ramaphosa said Trevor "promised that he's going to make fun of me".
