Even though charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped, the actor is continuing to feel the heat from colleagues in Hollywood, with Chris Rock being the latest to take aim.
Rock presented an award at the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday in Hollywood when he told the crowd that the organisers had banned all Jussie comments and jokes.
But Chris Rock clearly didn't give a damn and went full blast on the Empire actor.
"They said no Jussie Smollett jokes. Yeah, I know. I know. What a waste of light skin, you know? You know what I could do with that light skin? That curly hair? My career would be outta here."
On January 29 Smollett claimed that he had been attacked by two white men who allegedly put a noose around his neck and made comments about his race and sexuality. Police later charged Smollett with staging the attack. Those charges were dropped with officials saying it should not be seen as an indication of his innocence or guilt.
"What the hell was he thinking? From now on, you're Jessie. You don't even get the U no more. That U was respect. You ain't getting no respect from me," continued Chris Rock.
