Actress-turned-TV host, Sophie Lichaba left fans of her talk show Hashtags shocked as she recounted being kissed inappropriately by a relative as a little girl.

Speaking on the show, Sophie explained that she would never forget the incident that occurred when she and her family were out of the country and how she would never forget the horrible experience.

"I was chilling in the TV room because remember we were in a foreign country, a foreign place. Then a 'relative', my relative’s husband comes onto the couch and kisses me on the lips and puts his tongue in my mouth."

Sophie explained that she's never been able to forget the sexual violation.

"You must understand that I grew up remembering this, you need to understand that as a child, you can’t forget such a thing. I was eight," she said.

The actress, who rose to fame as Queen Moroka on Generations, has been roped in as co-host of Hashtags on e.tv Extra. She shares the table with co-hosts Jarred Doyle, Francois Louw and radio host Mantsoe "Miss Pout" Tsatsi.

A few weeks ago Sophie also opened up her weight loss, which has become a target for social media trolls.

Months ago Sophie was subjected to cyberbullying and vicious rumours as trolls ridiculed her weight loss.

"What happened to sympathy? What happened to ubuntu? What happened to just supporting a fellow South African and saying, whatever it is that you are going through... like I wasn't saying pray for me. I was saying, just say we understand," she said.
