Zola Nombona & Mandla N spark romance rumours with sweet birthday message

A cute exchange on social media between actress Zola Nombona and award-winning director Mandla N' Ncgongwane have sent the rumour mill in a frenzy. Fans are convinced the pair are more than just work buddies.

It was Mandla's birthday this week and he was flooded with messages, but one in particular stood out for fans.

Zola, who plays the role of Monde on Lockdown, shared a picture of Mandla on her own Instagram page and included a sweet caption calling him King and telling him how much she loved him.

"Happy birthday, King. I genuinely have no words but I know you know how much I love and appreciate you. May the Lord keep filling your cup and may he grant you all your hearts desires. Love you Mandla N."

He responded to the message by thanking her and calling her babe.

"Ou thanks a mill, babe. Well done. You killed it yesterday. Hola.”

The exchange had followers going crazy, suggesting the pair have BEEN dating. They also brought slips.

Mandla separated with his former partner, musician Tumi Masemola. She confirmed it in an interview with Drum, last year and explained how difficult it was to start over again.

“It was traumatic. I never thought I’d be where I am but it’s a decision I had to make.”
