The world went into a mini-craze when they found out that Eddie Murphy was indeed serious about the Coming To America sequel but Akon made a suggestion that left most African artists hoping that the message gets across.

The Senegal-born artist suggested that Eddie should consider including actors and comedians from Africa as part of the cast and fans of the film worldwide seem to agree with him.

"I haven't seen the cast yet but I would recommend that they cast some African actors and African comedians. The film industry is huge, one of the biggest in the world, so to expose some of those actors and comedians... you have to! There's no way you can do Coming to America without adding somebody like Michael Blackson," he told TMZ.Com

Bar the 2000s who may not get what 'all the fuss is about', the rest of us know just how big of a deal the sequel to Coming To America is!

We mean, who can claim to have forgotten Prince Akeem, his bestie the mischievous Semmi, Mr McDowell, Lisa or King Jaffe Joffer?

Which SA actor/comedian do you think would be perfect for the film?

Listen to Akon explain why casting Africans would be awesome for the comedy in the video below.
