Trevor Noah will skip that Trump interview, but not Melania

Trevor Noah used to want to interview US president Donald Trump - but he told Ellen during an interview that he would skip that chance and opt for the first lady, Melania.

The Daily Show host was being interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres and explained that having Trump used to be a dream interview, but he's worked out that the pres will never give a straight interview.

Trevor said that given the chance, he would gladly take Melania over her husband, explaining that he'd want to ask her about her anti-bullying campaign.

"I want to know if her #BeBest anti-bullying campaign online is a long-term dig at her husband. I genuinely want to know that."
