Rapper Cassper Nyovest has shut down his good deed attempt after trolls got to him.

The rapper showed interest in helping a relatively unknown singer release music after he caught wind of the talented man and his viral video through social media.

Cassper wanted to help the young man record his music in his studio, however, he was told by trolls to back off since the likes of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza were better fit for the job.

So the Tito Mboweni rapper responded to the backlash saying he no longer would pursue helping the local singer establish his musical career.

“You're right. I've decided to let this one go. Too much negative energy on this app for real. I just wanted to help the guy nou leng mpotsa masepa (now you're telling me sh*t). Yall go and help the guy then since yall know best. This dude don't even need me anyway, I just tweeted that so the clip can blow up.” he wrote.

“Y'all go do it then. I'll be easy,” he added.

Cassper Nyovest is best known for sharing his spotlight with talented people that come from humble beginnings.

In September 2020, the rapper tried to help a talented young man named Mzwandile — dubbed as the 'Taxi Hustler'. The young man, who was supposedly suffering from substance abuse, was featured on Capper's album Any Minute Now.

After the rapper and his team helped the Mzwandile be clean from substances for two months, Cassper later sadly reported that Mzwandile had returned to his old ways.

“Saddens me to have to post that after such a massive effort by myself, my team & the incredible Yolanda 'Toni', Mzwandile has decided to go back to the streets. He'd been clean of all substances for just over 2 months and making good progress at a rehab centre we had found for him,” he wrote.
