Nasty C has revealed what he spent his first big cheque on — and his regret at splurging on a Rolex watch.

In a recent interview with Siage Jones in New York, the rapper said it was a smart move to buy an apartment that he leased out but admitted he regretted his choice to splurge on a Rolex.

“I bought an apartment I’m leasing out so that was my first key,” he said.

The rapper also said he lost a Rolex  in a house invasion.

The watches, which are assembled by hand, range from R93,000 to R3m in SA, according to Luxity

“My terrible one was buying an expensive watch,  I wanted a Rolex ... I wanted that kind of satisfaction.”

“It wasn’t necessary, it was stupid , ... I got robbed, it was like a house invasion, and I’m just like man that was dumb.”

After signing an exclusive deal with Def Jam Recordings via a joint venture with Universal Music Africa, the 25-year-old has been making an affect beyond the borders of Mzansi, working with US rappers Domani and his father TI, among others.

With his success as one of the biggest rappers in Mzansi he has been able to afford to make expensive purchases, including diamond necklaces.

He's been spending tine in the US on press tours, business meetings and finishing his album after recently dropping his 8-track Ivyson Army Tour Mixtape.
