Lerato Sengadi remembers Jabba on the anniversary of his death
It's been four years since HHP was buried in his hometown Mahikeng. Each year at the anniversary of his death his widow, renowned publicist Lerato Sengadi chooses to celebrate her husband's life.
HHP, whose real name is Jabulani Tsambo was 38 years old when he died in October 2018.
Taking to her Instagram on the day that marked four years since the hip-hop pioneer died, Lerato thanked the people that continued to support Jabba's legacy
“Time flies yet it also feels like it’s standing still. Every year when this day comes I choose to celebrate ur life & what you are to so many of us. Thank You to every single person who loves & still supports Jabba. His legacy is in our hands. Motho wa Motho... you already know what it is! Ka pelo le moya! ”
Lerato took to her Instagram timeline in September and reminisced about HHP's first BET Africa Cypher.
“I have always been in awe watching Motho create something outta nothing ... creating moods outta words... Creating music outta silence... listening to him freestyle was always a treat cos, well, he could actually freestyle.
“This particular day all he needed from me was to make him look good. Which I f**ken killed, head to toe baby! He killed his freestyle then we went home to watch Amazing Race. Happy Birthday wena San! Wena Bosso! Wena Legende. Wena Kgosi. Wena Prototype. Wena Motho. I know u skeemile Mawe & diyawa blind (as it always did) Lerato ha le fele” she wrote.
