Real House Wives Of Cape Town star, Thato Montse is beaming with pride after being awarded Drama Queen of the Year at the 14th Annual Feather Awards.

The entrepreneur and wine connoisseur’s drinking habits, her unfiltered opinions about the other housewives and her turbulent relationship drama with her ex, Mohammed, have kept many viewers of the new reality show franchise entertained.

On receiving her accolade Montse said her authenticity had got her the nod.

“ I don't filter, one thing about me is what you see is what you get... I say things as they are,” she said.

She dedicated her win to her husband.

“Thank you for sticking by me.”

Beyond the drama and the shade thrown on the evening, there was a moment of silence and candle ceremony to remember the late allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, Lumko Johnson and Tlhapang Petso.

“It is the very first feathers without them,” said co-founder of the Feather Awards, Thami Dish Kotlolo. “This year we are missing Lumko Johnson and Tlhapang Petso.”
