The Scorpion Kings brought London to a standstill recently, proving again why they are known as the kings of amapiano.
Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa performed to loud cheers at the Scorpion Kings Live Concert and rubbed shoulders with a star who has thrown his weight behind the genre, Nigeria's Wizkid.
The pair are not only revered for pioneering the sound, but have been praised for taking people with them and mentoring them.
One is Youngstunna, who, in a lengthy Instagram post, wished Kabza well on his birthday.
"They always ask me why I say you’re my father. I always tell them that is what you are to all of us. You take care of us, you always make sure we are always in line and never doing stupid things, you shout at us because you care and love us, you want to see everyone you care about succeed because that’s who you are, a caring and loving person, a lovable person even.

Meanwhile, Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi defended DJ Maphorisa when he was criticised on social media.
Mac G suggested he was an “amapiano gatekeeper” in an episode of Podcast and Chill.
Reacting, Nota slammed naysayers, speaking of DJ Maphorisa's influence on artists coming up in the industry.
“When we had nothing, Maphorisa housed us, fed us and helped us feed ourselves ... You’ll never see me biting a hand that once fed me. I’m disgusted by all the Phori slander that goes about on the timeline and all these podcasts. It’s absolutely disgusting,” he said.
