Rapper and media personality Anele Zondo left festivalgoers shook.

She seemed to have stepped on a lot of toes when she was MC at an event (on Saturday

Tweeps who started tweeting about their experiences made the star's name trend, and they were not impressed .

“Anele Zondo started so nicely and marvellous with energy, dancing and less talking on the mic and then she got lit with the likwa and it went downhill, shem,” said one tweet.

“Wait guys? Was Anele Zondo the one singing to the crowd during the change overs? LOL holeeee, heard that from the VIP she was sipping,” said another.

Nigerian star TEMS was announced as the headline at the Friends Of Amstel event on Saturday.

TEMS took to her Twitter timeline and shared she would be back.

“South Africa I love you all so much. Can’t wait to come back again and see all of you,” she wrote.

The line-up included Scorpion Kings, DJ Zinhle, K.O, Samthing Soweto, DBN Gogo, AKA, Amaroto, Shimza, Njelic, Lerato Kganyago, Kamo Mphela and Young Stunna.

Anele has made smooth transition from being a media personality to a musician who doesn't want to be limited.

“I'm not going to box myself with a genre. There's a few R&B tracks I've done, amapiano, gqom and more,” she told TshisaLIVE.

Anele, who gets her inspiration from international stars like Cardi B and Summer Walker, said she's grateful to have a mentor like Reason, aka Sizwe Alakine, to help her execute the vision.

“He definitely does [write for me].  He helps me with the pen but he can never tell my life story. Every time I go into studio there are one to three people. I'm a musician, that's what Beyoncé does. Have to be in a room with creatives so you can share ideas. I'm a very creative person naturally and know how to put things together.”
