Musician Gemma Fassie has got the attention of Grammy winner Black Coffee and tweeps after many saw her sing.

Bongani Fassie shared the clip of Gemma showing off her skills and vocals on Twitter. The talented young lady was singing Tamia's Officially Missing You, which made many who didn't know her sit up and take notice.

Grammy-winner DJ Black Coffee and Mzansi rapper Gigi Lamayne were also spotted gushing over Gemma’s flawless vocals, giving her a co-sign for her rendition of the song.

“Yoh yes! The legacy continues. This makes me so happy,” wrote Gigi Lamayne in the comment section.

In an interview with Sportscene last year, the singer explained how she was related to the late musical icon Brenda Fassie.

“The question that I always get asked a lot would be, ‘Are you related to Brenda Fassie?’ The answer is actually, ‘Yes, I am.’ She is an aunt of mine. Unfortunately, I never really got the opportunity to meet her as she’d already passed away when I was only about five or six years old. I remember seeing my dad on TV with her, but it only really clicked with me in the past year since I’ve started being involved in the music industry. One of my close friends told me to change my name to ‘Gemma Fassie’ because it would gain more traction, and that it could be my ‘Sasha Fierce’ moment by stepping into this new persona and making it my own.”
