Lungisani “Mr Music” Mthethwa has parted ways with Kalawa Jazmee.

The star took to his Instagram recently to share the news of his departure from the record label.

“Expiry of artists agreement between dangerous combination crew records trading as Kalawa Jazmee Records and Mr Music. I refer to the artist agreement concluded between me and Dangerous Combination Crew Records t/a Kalawa Jazmee Records on January 25 2021.

“This notice confirms that I am no longer signed as an artist as of December 13. I have fulfilled my minimum commitment in terms of the agreement and I’m free to enter into any third-party agreement for the sale, exploitation and/or distribution of future recordings. I am grateful for the opportunity of working with Kalawa Jazmee,” he wrote.

The singer recently bagged an award in the best visual video category at the Eminent Video Music Awards 2022.

The former Idols SA star took to his Instagram  to announce his achievement and said this was his second award.

“This is the proud moment of my professional career. I feel really appreciated and valued to receive this award. This award will help me remain more focused and dedicated to my work. Thanks a lot for your appreciation team Mr Music.

"Thank you for voting, thank you for showing me that you all support me. Thank you for everything. Last year we won it, and today we did it again. We took this one under the best visual video category,” he wrote.
