Lerato Kganyago has poured cold water on rumours surrounding her private and business life on social media.

In an Instagram Live, the media personality spoke of how she wanted to dispel false narratives.

“I will fight and defend myself. People want you to be silent so they can run with the narrative they've created. Not on my watch. I don't have a trail of fans that sit here to defend me, I will do it when I need to, like you would.”

In 2023 she won't remain silent as false accusations make the rounds on social media timelines and will soon make her Instagram account public again.

“Don't think I will not address false accusations made about me.

“I'm the sacrificial lamb in this industry. I've been quiet. This year is the year of responding.”

Lerato's fiery response comes after a local Twitter user alleged she failed to pay her 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa Hotel employees.

Here are the rumours the media personality has slammed:

WORKERS AT HOTEL BEING EVICTED

On Valentine’s Day 2022 Lerato revealed her hubby Thami Ndlela gifted her a hotel and restaurant named after her but she's since distanced herself from it.

Videos circulating on social media have alluded that Lerato's employees have allegedly been evicted from their homes due to lack of funds to sustain themselves.

“I removed myself from the hotel a long time ago because I have an alcohol brand that's coming up ... I realised the hospitality industry is not something I'm passionate about. I want to focus on my business.

“The people who work for me are fully paid. People who work for me are living their best lives in Cape Town. Who are these people you are talking about? The ones on Kganyago productions and Flutter by LKG are fully paid,” she said.

FEUD WITH TEBOGO THOBEJANE

In November 2022, Lerato went live on Instagram, suggesting actress and podcaster Tebogo Thobejane attempted to play her hand in her marriage.

The Metro FM DJ said she had no issues with Tebogo and was simply setting the record straight.

“I was not fighting Tebogo Thobejane. I made a statement about what she did and we addressed [it] and moved along. Nobody was fighting her, nobody had an affair or whatever.”

DIVORCE

Addressing rumours of being divorced, Lerato posted her supposed ID document and driver's licence showing she has a double barrel surname.

“I am not married by affiliation, I am married on paper. I am a wife, I have never been divorced and I am not getting divorced.”
