'Life is overwhelming at the moment' — SA celebs' outrage at stage 6 load-shedding

Hulisani Ravele has sympathised with many individuals affected by load-shedding.

Social media users have been up in arms since Eskom announced on Wednesday that stage 6 load-shedding would be implemented until further notice.

The presenter was among the celebrities who took to their timeline expressing concerns for those who had vital roles in their families and businesses and weren't able to make ends meet due to the energy crisis. 

“Life as a South African citizen is overwhelming at the moment... and whilst the collective tries to figure out what can be done to change all this, the individual; the parent, the entrepreneur, the breadwinner; just sits in darkness and breaks. It’s all so heavy for so many,” Hulisani wrote. 

When Mmusi Maimane asked whether his followers supported a mass strike against load-shedding and the 18.65% electricity tariff increase, Bridget Masinga said she wanted to see more action taken by leaders of the country.

“But stop asking poll questions every day and implement a plan of action. Rally the troops from all sides and galvanise us into action. We are tired of the daily tweets, polls, etc from leaders. Lead,” she wrote.
