Rapper Big Zulu built his grandmother a house last year, sharing the before and after pics.
“Siyabonga kakhulu isiphelile indlu ka gogo bengisehlile ngiye khaya ngiyo penda sekuphelile siyabonga,” he wrote, with a snap of his gogo’s original mud house.
Loosely translated: “I am grateful to announce my grandmother’s house is finally completed. I was off home to do the painting and now all done, thank you.”
Singer Paxton Fielies revealed in 2021 she had started to renovate her family home.
“This project is so personal to me. I never thought I would [be] able to do this for my family at such a young age. I’m not going to lie and say this journey has been incredible, because it has probably been the most challenging and draining experience thus far.”
Despite the setbacks she experienced along the way, Paxton said she managed to get back on her feet and resumed the renovation project.

Music producer and amapiano DJ Busta 929 has built his family a home.
Taking to his Instagram timeline, he shared clips of the construction, from when it started to the finished product.
“I’m proud to announce I’ve built a big house for my family.”
In the comments section, fellow musicians congratulated him on his milestone.
“O berekile ngwana — so proud of you,” wrote Lamiez Holworthy-Morule.
“This is gorgeous, baby bro. God bless you,” posted Lady Du.
