Lady Zamar has shed light on musician Msaki's claims she has written songs for her.

This after the singer was interviewed on Podcast and Chill and said she wrote for a couple of singers, including Lady Zamar.

Taking to Twitter, Lady Zamar said it was a once off collaboration.

“This is clarity for my za’martians with love. Msaki and I have worked on only one song together ... we co-wrote the hook to Freedom ft rhapsody and have since done no other work together. I am grateful for her contribution and I appreciate sharing my journey with her,” she tweeted.

Msaki also said she was taking a break from the spotlight to spend time with her children as she had been “hurt by everything” that transpired.

“It’s a story of a relationship ending. I don’t have anything to do with that relationship ending but I’m dragged in. Smash is a great guy. I have nothing to do with the end of his relationship and I’m hurt,” she said on the podcast.

Lady Zamar told TshisaLIVE last year she was introducing a new sound with her EP Royal Flush.

“I've always been about love and understanding self, celebrating self.”

She released her EP after the launch of her children's book titled Amara, which is about a “weak little child” who overcomes several obstacles.

“I'm a writer naturally and I'm an academic, that's where I always wanted to be. I wanted to become a world-renowned writer and so the book opportunity was a way to launch a part of me ... becoming an author was always part of my journey and it's going to continue being part of my journey. There are lots of things I still want to do that will surprise other people.”
