DJ Hlo is reportedly getting ready to walk down the aisle soon.

Daily Sun reported the popular DJ, whose real name is Hlosiwe Mthalane, was allegedly smitten with her manager and record label boss Muzi “Maz” Zulu who is allegedly going to make her his second wife.

A source told the publication the couple have been in a “not so private” relationship.

“In 2022, Zulu married his first wife Thuli but DJ Hlo did not attend the wedding. DJ Hlo has met Thuli and she is prepared to be a second wife.”

Replying to TshisaLIVE, DJ Hlo said she and Dr Musa Zulu have a close working relationship as she is signed under his label and are working on multiple projects.

Answering enquiries regarding the marriage rumour, she said they will release a statement soon, “But what I can say is that I have so much respect for him & his family.”

Since she was announced as the winner of Ukhozi FM's 2021 Song of the Year for her song Isibani featuring DJ Manzo and Siboniso, she has had to fend off social media trolls.

Taking to her socials in December she poured cold water over a rumour that she slept with Ukhozi FM presenters to be considered for the top 10.

“I would like to start by thanking the Ukhozi FM team from the management, to the radio personalities, producers and the whole of the marketing team for even creating the Ukhozi Fm top 10 song Of the year. I received a lot of great opportunities both locally and internationally.

“What I would like people to know is that I am also human. Everything that is being said about me on social media has hurt me ever since I won. All of the hurt goes straight to the heart. Ever since I won, I have been sworn at using every cuss word out there. What hurts the most is that even after I did not enter the top 10 this year, I am still getting bullied. This is not affecting me only, but it is also affecting my entire family,” read the statement.
