The rapper released a new single titled Forecast 23 were he addressed Lady Du among other people.
Lady Du in her thread addressed competing with artists which is a no-go for her.
“Don’t compete with your fellow musicians, it takes your focus away. Don’t follow your hits it depreciates your work. Follow what your heart tells you. Music is art. I have 169 countries listening to my music, even that one person in Egypt can turn into 10! Do it for the love.”

Lady Du has dropped some pearls of wisdom about how she has made it in the music industry.
Taking to her Twitter timeline the amapiano sensation shared a detailed thread on how to tread in the business side of the industry.
“Never follow socials, follow data! Look at the numbers and you’ll see who is really killing the game. Don’t look at monthly listeners they change as your season changes, you can drop a hit to gain 500k monthly listeners. You can work on them as you go.”
In one of the tweets she said she had no desire to be signed to major record labels.
