Four days after Mzansi was plunged into a state of shock and rage over the fatal shooting of rapper AKA and Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane the TL is still being flooded with friends and fans sharing their fondest memories of the pair.

The pair were gunned down at a popular restaurant in Durban's Florida Road on Friday night.

Taking to their social media platforms those close to them were emotional as they remembered their friends.

“The only person that made me drive a BMW was @akaworldwide . I was not impressed by that BMW at all. But it was Ma se kind se BMW so I had to, My MAAT, Forever. But of cos I made him drive the Mercedes to share some class with my friend, something he was missing in the BMW,” tweeted Prince Kaybee.

In a separate tweet the music producer opened up about how AKA used to ground him.

“For all the clobber I have taken on social media, @akaworldwide would call me each and every time without fail to resuscitate me mentally. When he called he would say, 'he wena DJ Cleo, don’t worry yourself'. He called me DJ Cleo because of all the multiplatinum selling records.”

Rapper Tshego took to his Instagram to reveal a side of the rapper many were not privy to.

“Just the other day we laughed about how 13 years ago you performed at a gig for us and it only cost a bottle of Jameson and gas money. For 13 years you’ve been solid with me no matter where I was or who I was with. 13 years dog. Every time I told you I was struggling with my relationship with God you tried your best to reassure me that he’d never forsake me. Well, here we are again, this can’t be God’s plan. I refuse to believe it.”

Stogie wrote a lengthy tribute to AKA and Tibz.

“Tebello bro, the dark lords of the world were unquenched taking you. You were a maverick man. A king maker. You built this thing. You were the culture. You united us behind those velvet ropes, paid for the stages and lights that made us seen. I love you my brother. My heart goes out to your folks, my folks. Head Honcho your name was a verb Mr Showlove. How tragic that some would sought to extinguish love. You are not a footnote in the headlines, you are the stepping stone from which we launched ourselves into the globe.”
