Seasoned actor Thabo Rametsi has lauded actress, casting director and businesswoman Terry Pheto for her influence on the industry and her support for him.
Taking to his Instagram timeline he wrote a lengthy post detailing their journey together and how they met.
“You helped so many of us. You 'Our Terry Pheto'. I saw you at the Oscars before I even knew that was possible for people like us. I saw you trail-blaze and make the world seem smaller. You looked like us. Like our sister, like our mother, our friend ... like us. And you were there in the places they said we couldn’t go. From community theatre to the Oscars. Thank you for showing us what was possible," he wrote.

Terry first burst onto the international scene with her role in the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi .
She walked away with the Best Supporting Actress award at the prestigious UK National Film Awards in London for her portrayal of Naledi Khama in the film A United Kingdom.
Terry landed a role in popular US soapie The Bold and the Beautiful in 2011 as a heart surgeon
“This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I look forward to sharing the screen with my soapie heroes Katherine Kelly Lang and Susan Flannery, while sinking my thespian teeth into a challenging role,” Pheto said.
