Skeem Saam actor Thabiso Molokomme has thanked those who voted for him for the Royalty Soapie Awards that took place over the weekend.

The young actor was presented with the best actor award in the viewer's choice category.

Taking to his Instagram timeline he shared snaps of himself holding his trophy .

“The viewers of South Africa have decided I am their best actor. God never disappoints. While I sleep, He’s still working. Just began my acting career about a year back but I was honoured to be nominated among legends I look up to. Thank you Mzansi, Kealeboga ka pelo yaka kamoka. I’m truly humbled,” he captioned the post.

Thabiso recently graduated with a diploma in operations management with top honours.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE then he said he worked hard and is planning to study further but not in the traditional stream.

“Exciting is an understatement. I worked long mornings, days and nights to achieve it and I'm so extremely proud of myself. This shows that having big goals, praying and working hard can get you anywhere. I do plan on studying further but I won't be enrolled for traditional modes of education.”

Though he already had a foot in the door in showbiz, the actor and TV presenter said education had inspired him and given him confidence.

“I come from a well-educated family, so regardless of being in entertainment my family would have not allowed me to be without a qualification. Education has given me intellectual confidence and opened doors of inspiration. It enables me to use my voice to empower and inspire so many people, both young and old, in our county.”
