WATCH | Lira celebrates 44th birthday with stunning photo shoot

Lira recently celebrated another trip around sun. 

Taking to her socials she shared her gorgeous photo shoot in a picturesque place.

“Thank for all the birthday wishes. I had a magical day! I was showered with so much love — thank you. Life is too short — we need to celebrate every day we are given,” she wrote. 

In a separate post she shared a clip of moments to mark her last day before her birthday, reflecting on how blessed she is.  

“This is my last day as a 43-year-old. I’m reflecting on the amount of fun I had in the last year. I spent it with loved ones, my family and my friends. There were no shows — I couldn’t work — so I was left with living life — happily. Thank you to all of you who prayed for me and kept me in your thoughts — I’m truly blessed — I love you all,” she captioned the post.

Kicking off the year, the musician updated her followers on her progress after suffering a stroke in April while in Germany. 

“I haven’t posted this year. My speech healing is very slow, I’m doing the best I can to remain sane. I’m still alive and well. I wish great health, prosperity and love,” she wrote. 

Though the stroke affected her ability to communicate, the singer shared in June last year she could read, write and talk. 

“Five months and still alive and kicking. I’m grateful for the gift of life. I’m making incredible progress and enjoying the much-needed break. One lesson I’ve learnt is to slow down, smell the roses and savour each moment,” she wrote on her Instagram timeline.
