Mafikizolo vocalist and businesswoman Nhlanhla Mafu has given her followers snippets of information about her new beau.

Taking to her Instagram timeline the seasoned singer said she had recently turned 45 and she had a bouquet of roses in her hand.

She shared a series of pictures and also showed off a snap of her and her mysterious new man that got socials buzzing in December.

“No, because we're celebrating the whole year this year. #ThisIs45 #GratefulForLifeAndEverything. P. S my actual birthday was 2 days ago,” she captioned her post.

In her mentions her followers posted belated wishes for her birthday.

She first got Mzansi intrigued when she shared Christmas-themed family pictures. Nhlanhla concealed the identity of her mystery man and his children too.

“You put the Merry in my Christmas,” she captioned her post containing family Christmas portraits.

Some tweeps criticised the musician for blurring her man's image.

Lady Du rallied to her defence, explaining Nhlanhla was respecting the privacy of her beau.

“Nhlanhla has been through a lot. She is ready to tell you she has a man but is respecting his privacy due to what social media might do. She’s protecting him for now. When they are both ready she’ll post. Most importantly respecting his children too.”

She has also posted on her Instagram stories and shared a photo of herself with a man holding her around the waist from behind with the caption: “Imagine being loved in the same ferocity in which you love.”
