After the phenomenal success of SETE, rapper K.O decided to up the stakes with a new remix.

Joining three corners of the continent, K.O called on East Africa’s superstar Diamond Platnumz and West Africa’s trailblazer Oxlade to deliver a stunning Afrobeats-inspired track which appears set for global supremacy.

Taken from the rapper’s critically acclaimed album SR3, the original version of SETE, featuring South Africa’s Young Stunna and Blxckie, was released last September and has had an unprecedented run.

Dominating the Official Charts in South Africa, it spent 20 weeks at number 1, topping the airplay chart and numerous playlists, and racked up a plethora of accolades, including being cited by Rolling Stone as one of the “The 40 Best Afropop Songs of 2022".

K.O shared, “I was never big on remixes, but I believed it could be a great chance for us to take SETE to the next level, especially bringing in some amazing acts from the continent.”

Speaking on his choice of collaborators, KO said: “I chose Oxlade and Diamond Platnumz because I wanted to make it organic, and they bring the west and east of Africa together, which is what I had hoped for.”

Many of the rapper's fans have expressed their feelings towards the remix, saying that SETE has a winning recipe and doesn't need a remix, while others welcomed it, echoing K.O's words — the song could still be taken to another level.
