This year marks 16 years of being in the music industry for Senzo Vilakazi, popularly known as Kwesta, and he plans to commemorate it in a big way.
The multi award-winning rapper and songwriter announced ‘The 16th Bar Legacy Tour’ on Tuesday to celebrate the strides he’s taken throughout his career.
“I am but a product of your love and support. A work of many contributors. Made in the ghetto by maids in the ghetto. Five albums in and a lifelong verse. This is The 16th Bar of the perfect verse. Thank you for writing it with me. A celebration of 16 years in the game,” he wrote on his Instagram.
The tour includes 15 shows in and around Gauteng, that will build up to the 16th final show.
The first leg of the tour will kick-start on April 23, at the popular Hurricane nightclub in his hometown Katlehong. Each show will be conceptualised and curated to represent each year Kwesta has celebrated in the game.
For final show, set to take place at Carnival City on August 12, Kwesta will be joined by a star-studded line-up of artists who have collaborated with him and contributed to the success of his career.
Ticket sales start from R250 and can be purchased at Computicket.
