‘Do me this favour’ — Babes Wodumo asks fans to vote for 'Ngeke' at Metro FM Awards

Babes Wodumo has urged her fans to vote for Big Nuz's Ngeke which has been nominated in several categories of the Metro FM Awards.

The clock is ticking and it's exactly two weeks before the 17th edition of the Metro FM Awards kick off after a lengthy hiatus. 

The musician went live on Mampintsha's Facebook account and shared what this (the nomination) would've meant for her late husband.

“Siya vota. Please vote for Big Nuz. Please make sure you vote for Big Nuz. So guys please do me a favour and vote. I will dance. They've been nominated in the best duo, best kwaito/gqom and song of the year. Please do this for my husband if he were here he would've been happy,” she said. 

Nominated alongside the group for the biggest category are :

Song of the Year

K.O — Sete

AKA —  Lemons (Lemonade)

Konke & Musa Keys — Kancane

Aymos — Fatela

Big Nuz — Ngeke

Kabza De Small — Khusela

Betusile Mcinga — Ngena Noah

Gaba Cannal — Healer Ntliziyo Yam

Sjava — Isoka

Wanitwa Mos — Sofa Silahlane

The awards are set to take place on May 6 at the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, and will be broadcast live on SABC1.

Mampintsha died on December 24 from complications after a stroke.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, Babes visited her husband's grave and posted a snap of herself there.

“Wow after so many years this is the first Valentine's Day without you sthandwa sam. Today women out there are celebrating with loved ones, but me being here today makes it different from others. I forever cherish days we shared together. Ngyazi ujabulile ukungbona,” she captioned her post.
