Seasoned television and radio personality Faith Mangope, and former professional goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo are joining Nelisiwe Mmape, Kgosi Rankhumise and Bolele Polisa as presenters of The Morning Show.

The lifestyle and news show set to broadcast simultaneously on e.TV and eNCA seven days a week from May 1 will keep its format of infotainment, and have the “Faith Mangope Flair” as a cherry on top.

“I am exceptionally excited to be joining the Morning Show. I had a brief opportunity to work with the team during a very difficult time in the country, the Covid-19 lockdown. The way they were dedicated to delivering exciting quality content daily was nothing short of inspiring. When the stars aligned for us once more, it was a no-brainer,” she told TshisaLIVE.

“2023 has been a year of growth and new heights. The Faith Mangope Technology and Leadership Institute has doubled in size. We are training more than 60 young women in tech-related skills and placing them in jobs after a year through the programme. I am taking on the tech space through my private company. I recently joined Metro FM for daily conversations at 7pm. For the year I plan on working hard and being a contributor to the country in one way or another.”

Brighton said being in broadcasting has been a lifelong dream.

“I’ve prepared myself a long time ago. In interviews I didn't only go in as a guest, I went in to learn and observe as a producer, director, cams operator and presenter so I could try to get the dynamics around broadcasting.”

Cheeky Media executive producer and CEO  Yusuf Stevens said he was excited to have the two hosts as part of their team to bring the most relevant content every day of the week.

“Seven days a week is a huge testament to the hard work and dedication from the Cheeky Media team. We’ve always committed to superior quality work and it’s not going to be any different this time around. We promise to deliver world-class news content in a palatable format and content pieces that add value to our viewers and followers.”

The Morning Show will air on e.TV, channel 194 and eNCA from Monday to Friday.
