Nadia Nakai continues to endure the emotional rollercoaster of picking up pieces after the death of her boyfriend, AKA, and she's been candid about her grief.
Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was shot dead on February 10 in Durban's Florida Road. His murder is still under investigation.
Since returning to work in March, Nadia said she had started recording music again, sharing clips from her studio sessions.
The rapper also took to Instagram stories to say life without AKA was still peculiar for her, but she hoped to get to a point where she could remember him without getting emotional.
“So many spaces I'm in where I can't help but imagine you in them,” she wrote.
“I can't wait to get to the point where I think about you and smile, and not think about you and hold back my tears.”

Nadia's friends, family and fans have supported her through her grief and healing.
The Naaa Meaan hit maker expressed her gratitude on social media.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me as I went back to work. I am grateful for what people did for me to make sure I’m OK.
“Sometimes I feel I’m undeserving of the support, the messages, the hugs and love from my friends, family, fans, as well as the venues I worked this weekend. It really gave me hope that I will be OK ... There are so many genuinely good people out there and I’ll never take it for granted. Thank you, guys!”
