Lee Thompson has made a social media return on Instagram.

The star of the first season of The Bachelor South Africa took to his timeline recently to share snaps of himself and reveal a novel he work on with with author Antonella Alekseeva.

"A huge pleasure working with world-renowned author Antonella Alekseeva on her must read #novel, ERIK: In His Rememberance," he captioned the post.

In August 2022, YOU Magazine reported Lee was allegedly homeless and undergoing rehabilitation for the second time.

Lee had allegedly been living at a R300 a night guest house for two months earlier this year and was described as an alleged tenant from “hell” who often left his room unkempt and messy.

Concerns for Lee mounted on social media, but he assured his fans was okay.

Last October, Lee revealed his upcoming book, The Truth Behind The Rose, would set the record straight on reports about him.

“From traumatic periods in my childhood  to schooling and professional rugby successes, to my international modelling and business successes, to my prior romantic relationships and experience on The Bachelor SA.

“To struggling with fame and media disinformation, to mental health issues and alcohol and drug addiction. To losing everything and suicide attempts, to becoming homeless and living on the streets.

“To my rehabilitation and recovery, to renewing my relationship with God and fighting my way back to the top. It will be worth the wait.” he said, thanking those who had loved and supported him “through thick and thin”.
