Celebrity couple Gabisile and Motlatsi have been in each other's lives for 15 years, but Gabi said she never saw their union coming.

The pair started off as friends and later love blossomed, with Gabi sharing memories on Instagram.

“Fifteen years ago I met this guy on a TV set. I knew him from television. Never did I think that one day he would be my partner. We were good friends, never dated before, and 15 years later, we're still good friends and lovers. What an amazing human being God has allowed to be in my life. Thank you Mr Mafatshe,” she wrote.

In her mentions, her Insta followers wished the couple well.

“Wow, so y'all always had a thing for each other, but I guess the timing wasn't right. I'm glad you found your way back to each other,” said one.

“It's just so amazing how our destinies are aligned,” added another.

The couple launched a “tell-all” YouTube channel in February to give their followers a glimpse into their lives.

They also rubbished claims they were the reason their respective marriages ended.

On their channel they said they took time off after their divorces before exploring new love.

“I did not leave my ex-husband for Motlatsi, I left because the marriage wasn't working ... we tried, I gave my all, and I don't regret anything. Out of my marriage I've got two beautiful children who I love so much,” Gabi said.

Motlatsi said his marriage ended amicably and he found love with Gabisile.

“In my case, it felt like a mutual thing. I think the love kind of ended. I remember we both went like, 'I'm not happy'.

“Now I'm very happy. She [Gabi] makes me happy.”
