Minnie Dlamini says she knew Hope Mbhele would be a star.

Taking to her timeline, she shared snaps of the actress at her Umemulo (a traditional Zulu coming of age ceremony) at the weekend, which was attended by guests from all walks of life.

“So proud to welcome you into womanhood as a proud Zulu woman, Hope Mbhele. I saw you for the first time and I knew you would be a star. You acted in my first two films as my lead and you’ve gone on to do some incredible work! You have made all of us so proud and I know you will continue to do so. To uBab’Dlamini and your beautiful mom, thank you for the hospitality and for welcoming my family to your beautiful home," she wrote.

Spotted at the ceremony were Sphe and Naves, Nelisiwe Sibiya, Kwenzo Ngcobo, Brenda Mhlongo and others.

Hope expressed her appreciation to the Minnie: “Sthandwa senhliziyo. Thank you. Appreciate you always, sis,” she replied.

On her own socials she thanked actress Nelisiwe for dressing her for the ceremony.

“You looked gorgeous my baby, thank you for trusting me,” wrote Nelisiwe.

The actress recently launched a juice company and beamed with pride when she announced it.

“My heart is full. So honoured to announce my new venture alongside my partner Noluthando, our freshly squeezed juice, Juice Bros.

“Juice Bros is a 100% raw blend proudly produced in Durban. It has no added sugars and preservatives. The juices are cold pressed, which means all-natural vitamins, enzymes, minerals and antioxidants are preserved. The Durban franchise is now open and available for ordering and deliveries.”
