Linda Majola joins SABC1's soapie 'Uzalo'

Actor Linda Majola is joining SABC 1's popular soapie Uzalo.
Making the announcement on his Instagram timeline on Wednesday he shared snaps with a co-star.
“It's official! I’m now part of an amazing team of storytellers. Thank you to the wonderful cast and crew of Uzalo for warmly welcoming me into the family. I can’t wait for each and everyone of you to experience Mzamo and Nomkhosi on your screens Monday — Friday at 20:30 on @sabc1_mzansifosho,” he wrote.
Linda is no newbie in the industry. He was part of the cast that delivered Showmax's first most-watched telenovela The Wife.
He starred as Langa on the show and when the show wrapped up he shared some memories with co-stars of the telenovela.
“The very first time I stepped onto set, I could feel the rays of the sun shine inside of me. Acting fuels a fire I never knew still existed. I felt like a child rediscovering and learning this world all over again. Words cannot begin to describe the amount of gratitude I’m filled with. My only regret is that it took me so long to believe I deserved it. Ningenze umuntu. Izandla zidlula ikhanda,” he wrote on his Instagram.
In a Q&A sent to TshisaLIVE, the rising star from Durban opened up about being part of the fan favourite adaptation of Dudu Busani-Dube’s best-seller Hlomu the Wife — Showmax’s most watched series ever.
He shared the similarities he and his character shared.
The persona is similar, and the life experiences. I've had to also navigate the difficulties of being a queer man and being in rooms where people might not agree with my life and who I am.
I hope we are able to address certain issues on the show and that people are able to learn ukuthi umuntu wumuntu (a person is a person), regardless of their sexual orientation, their race, their religion or anything along those lines. We need to start breaking those stigmas.
