Season 2 of The Perfect Picture is making its way to our tellies soon.

The celebrity reality show hosted by media personality Maps Maponyane puts the photography skills of contestants to a test.

Nine celebs will go head-to-head in a series of challenges to produce the perfect picture. Each week a panel of judges will review the pictures and eliminate one celeb.

The show, which is set to air on e.tv on July 23, features celebs Gugu Khati, Luyanda Mzazi, Zahira Marthy, Ivan Roux, Anele Zondo, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Tshego Koke and Christall Kay.

Sales and marketing director Nicola Mungle, business development manager Gerald Langton and marketing specialist Warren Nicholas  explained what the show is about at a press briefing.

Perfect Picture started in Holland. They are on their eighth season. We were very excited when head office told us we can bring the show to SA. This year we said we were really big and we have,” said Nicola.

The style of presenting is a first for Maps, who said he recently shot an advert for Canon when he was called to present the show.

“This show was different in the sense that I've done a lot of presenting but I've rarely done reality TV show presenting. You are doing it with a group of people who are contestants and you need to know about each of them and how they operate and be able to feed off them and check in on them, plus keep it exciting for the viewer. There are so many moving parts when it comes to hosting a show like this that makes it a fun challenge,” he told TshisaLIVE.

YouTuber Lasizwe Dambuza said he had an ace up his sleeve and viewers need to tune in to see him in action

Lasizwe Dambuza said the show was difficult territory to step into.

“I'm usually in front of the camera, I'm not behind the camera. I'm a videographer and Youtuber and pictures are more technical for me. People will get to see a different side, they will get to see the really evolved Lasizwe. I think people are so exposed to the child star Lasizwe and now I'm growing in front of you guys. I'm making my mistakes and you are realising it's not what we are used to knowing when I was fun and gullible. I'm getting serious now, I'm making serious decisions and how I navigate around the space. It is a competition so there's a little bit of strategy around it.
