Boity Thulo has announced her musical comeback and there is also a possible big feature brewing.

The media personality-turned-rapper took to her social media timeline to share a short clip of her doing an unofficial remake of Loatinover Pounds' Sosh Plata.

“I’m back in studio so I decided to play around with one of my fave tracks, #SoshPlata. We can call this one the unofficial #QueenMix,” she captioned the post.

While the video might have sparked Emtee's interest to approach Boity for a feature, as the post went viral it received mixed reactions from social media users.

Some congratulated the rapper on her highly anticipated comeback, but others were not impressed with her lyrics.

Boity's career evolution has been notable, from being an actress, presenter, and entrepreneur to a rapper. She broke the internet when she performed on Club 808 on her farewell episode in 2017.

Since her debut, Boity released Wuz Dat featuring Nasty C as her first single in 2018. She released her first EP 4436 in 2020, a project in which she drew inspiration from her childhood.

Previously speaking to TshisaLIVE, Boity said she was shocked her ancestors encouraged and guided her towards becoming a rapper.

“I assumed I was just going to do one song and that was it,” she said.

“I am grateful for what the ancestors, God and the universe have done for me. It took me by complete surprise that this music journey has so much in store for me. Basically, my ancestors shocked the hell out of me.”

During her hiatus, Boity said she was pouring all her energy into perfecting her craft and planned on winning over the naysayers one track at a time.
