Speaking to TshisaLIVE ahead of the scheduled recording, the Idols SA season 14 winner said it was the right time to record the show.
“I decided to record my music now because God was really pressing it on my heart. I live my life according to what God says, and he put it in my spirit to go ahead, so it just felt right.”
Reflecting on being an independent artist, she said she trusts God on her journey.
“I love the part where I can do anything at any time, that it comes at a cost. I just see God coming through for me, through people, resources, sponsorships and friends in the industry. I just know that it's the right time and God has had my back because I'm not struggling. Yes, it's not easy, I'm not saying there is no pressure, but I think this journey has just emphasised trusting God.”

Yanga Sobetwa postpones live recording: 'Delayed but not denied!'

Gospel star Yanga Sobetwa was set to have her first ever live music recording titled The New Era on July 1 but the show had to be postponed.
She released a statement on her Instagram timeline, sharing that due to “unforeseen circumstances and careful deliberation”, they opted to postpone the show that would've been held at Braamfontein.
“We understand that many of you were eagerly anticipating this experience, and we apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. We assure you that this decision was not taken lightly, and we are deeply saddened by the circumstances that have led to this postponement.
“As a team we are actively working to reschedule the event for a future date. We are committed to ensuring that when the time comes, we can provide you with the incredible experience that you deserve. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time of uncertainty,” read the statement.
