Late musician Costa Titch's mother Lara Langveld has penned a letter of gratitude to people in Nigeria who have showed her son support.

The 28-year-old rapper from Mpumalanga collapsed and died while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg on March 11.

Costa Titch's mother, who has seemingly taken over his social media accounts, took to the timeline recently, thanking people who have shown appreciation for her son's career.

“Message from mama Titch for the people of Nigeria: Many thanks for all the love and support for my son. You all have a special place in my heart. I was blessed to spend some time in your country, so this means so much to me.”

American rapper Swae Lee, who said he was of Nigerian descent, recently shared a video of him dancing to Costa Titch's hit song featuring Akon, Big Flexa.

When expressing his interest in contributing to the amapiano genre, Swae Lee took to his timeline, penning a tribute to the star.

“Respect to the creators of amapiano and RIP Costa Titch, so much dope sh*t out there, man. I'm excited for this next wave,” he wrote.

Costa Titch is remembered for his impact on the dance and music business and his legacy lives on as his music continues to be played beyond Mzansi's borders.

American singer Chris Brown, renowned football star Cristiano Ronaldo and other stars have also been seen jamming to the star's hit song.

Akon is another renowned international artist who cosigned the rapper.
