‘Siyabonga kakhulu’ — Big Zulu after celeb soccer challenge

The “gospel team” in Big Zulu's Celebrity Soccer Games walked away the winners of his tournament which left the rapper with a grateful heart. 

In an appreciation post the rapper took to his Instagram timeline and shared snaps from the game in Joburg over the weekend.

“Sithanda ukubonga kakhulu to everyone obekhona izolo to all the sponsors imidlalo ibe yimpumelelo kakhulu. sibongele ne Gospel Team nge Winn . Siyabonga kakhulu,” he wrote. 

“We would like to thank everyone who came yesterday, to all the sponsors, the games were very successful and also congratulate gospel team for the win. Thank you very much.” (loosely translated)

The teams were made up of four categories: SA hip-hop, maskandi, gospel and gqom.

Spotted at the games were Cassper, Kid X, Zakwe, Touchline, Ma-E, and Rashid Kay, who formed the hip-hop team.

Taking to his Instagram timeline gospel star Dumi Mkokstad, who is the champ together with his group, shared his excitement. 

“Yesterday was such a special night for me. It felt like I was finally living my football dream. Thank you so much for including the gospel genre. The Lord bless you all. Yours truly - Player of the tournament and champ.”

In his mentions his followers praised his soccer skills. 

''Well done, Mfwethu, you led your team very well and you are very comfortable on the pitch. Next year it is going to be bigger,'' wrote one.

''You have scored such a fantastic penalty. Orlando pirates should sign you from gospel,'' said another.
