Musician J'Something has announced he is dropping his first solo single titled Not Alone this Friday.

He has been part of house band Mi'Casa with Dr Duda and Mo-T.

The restaurateur and singer said he was inspired to do his first solo release by his followers who urged him to pursue his dream.

“I don’t really know what I’m feeling, but I can tell you it’s only goodness. It’s a sense of peace that I get to release without having pressure for it to become something, it’s a sense of gratitude that you guys cheered me for us to get this point, it’s a sense of relief to put myself out there and let the world know what I hear when I create alone, it’s also the excitement around this song potentially giving people a sense of spiritual connection,” he wrote.

J'Something recently opened a new establishment called Artistry.

He previously told TshisaLIVE bringing people together to enjoy a meal, music and the arts was always the end goal and the dream that has been in the works for two years was now coming true.

“I've always wanted to create something that's worth bringing food and entertainment together on a personal level. I don't cook because I want to be a chef, I cook because I love food and cooking for others because it's an amazing act of service. I'm excited about what we are doing because it feels what we are doing, I've put my heart, soul and character into it, but it's not about me, it's about the artistry of things.”
