Brenda Mtambo was filled with gratitude after her fans came in numbers to her show when she celebrated a decade in the music industry.

She shared a clip on her Instagram timeline after her performance at the Lyric Theatre on Saturday.

“I have been so emotional thinking how we pulled this off. I don’t have much, just the love for music and the people I do it for. I always want to give my 100% and I do my best to bring shows that represent my heart and respect for my audience and the gift.

“This show had many challenges with no sponsors and having to rely on dreaming and believing. I relied on you guys to come and you did. We are doing it again and again and again because you guys are here with me all the way and I am so grateful. I cried to some of you when we took pictures because wow. If you have a dream like me please don’t give up. Please don’t give up. Izinto zolunga, izinto zizojika,” she wrote.

The songstress recently shared how she didn't believe she'd make a decade in the industry and how, having survived, she felt compelled to celebrate herself and those who carried her.

“It is very important to celebrate 10 years as a solo, independent artist. It is not easy what we do. Doing what we do requires a lot from us and I've learnt it is important to celebrate yourself sometimes,” Brenda said in a video posted on Instagram.

She urged her followers to speak up when they are going through something.

“To everyone suffering from any form of mental illness, I want you to know you are not alone. Don’t be ashamed to speak up. The enemy wants you to keep quiet and suffer alone. Don’t allow it. Find people you can trust who won’t judge but support you. Thank you to everyone who has held my hand,” she wrote.
