After a seven-year hiatus, Mzansi Magic's competition Clash of the Choirs South Africa is back with season 4.
The show, hosted by radio personality DJ Sabby and the multitalented Bontle Modiselle, sees choirmasters Lady Du, Vusi Nova, Langa Mavuso, Zaza Mokhethi, Hle, Khanyisa Jaceni, Ntencane, Prince Kaybee and Stoan embark on the hunt for South Africa’s next superstar choir.
Singers Dr Tumi, Zwai Bala and Buhlebendalo are this year's judges.
For the first time ever, all nine provinces are represented. The choirs will go head-to-head as they compete in various musical challenges to claim R1m prize money.
“We’re excited that the audience favourite Clash of the Choirs South Africa is back after some time away from our screens,” Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, said in a statement shared with TshisaLIVE.
“It returns refreshed and bolder than before, and we can’t wait for our viewers to engage with it and vote for their favourites. Sundays Sisonke on Mzansi Magic — we are the home of entertainment and are proud to continue creating content that our audience loves and resonates with.”
Clash of the Choirs South Africa premieres on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) on Sunday at 6pm.
