The countdown has officially begun for Grammy-winning DJ Black Coffee's Madison Square Garden show.

Taking to his Instagram timeline the DJ shared a video montage of those on the line-up on Saturday.

"One week to go, New York City! Can’t wait to share all of the energy, emotion and passion we’ve been pouring into this show. The countdown is on," he wrote.

In his mentions his followers were thrilled for the DJ, with some expressing how they couldn't wait to go to the show.

"Yaay! Ticket ready ... solo travelling from SA … can’t wait! Hope the flooding doesn’t affect travel," commented one.

"An incredible journey of extraordinary talent, perseverance & humility that inspires all that dreams can come to reality," added another.

"My favourite SA stand-up comedian & my favourite SA Afro-house DJ," said a third.

The DJ, whose show at the arena is billed for October 7 at 8pm, also announced an after-party.

“One dance just wasn’t enough, so we’ve decided to take things back to @brooklynmirage for the official @thegarden after-party! Tickets available exclusively to #MSG ticket holders from September 28 @ 12pm ET,” he said.

Black Coffee recently announced his support act for the main show — Mzansi's international exports Major League DJz — with special appearances by Bucie, Msaki, Monique Bingham and others, backed up by a 12-piece orchestra.

“Each guest I’ve chosen to join me at Madison Square Garden has played a special part in my musical journey and I can’t wait to experience music in The Garden with you,” he said.

In the clip the DJ uses the beginning of an interview with comedian and former The Daily Show host Trevor Noah.

The pair have a shared respect since linking up in New York. When Black Coffee appeared on the show back in 2019 he inspired many when he spoke about how his past experiences had given him the passion to be successful.

“It’s resilience. It’s knowing hunger. It’s knowing you have experienced it and you don’t want to go there. It’s working from nothing, knowing that you have nothing to lose. Whatever you gain is something. That is what has kept me going and what keeps me going today.”
